Elena Zhang

Elena is a high school junior (Class of 2024) based in the US. She was born and raised in Manchester, England before moving to Beijing at age 8. Now, she is a boarder at Choate Rosemary Hall, an independent day and boarding school in Connecticut. At school, she is enrolled in Calculus AB Honors, US History Honors, American Literature Honors, and French Level 4 Honors. Elena shares a passion for all genres of writing ranging from analytical to creative. In addition to taking advanced English electives, Elena is also a tutor at Choate's writing center and an editor of the school newspaper. For extracurriculars, Elena plays on the Varsity Squash team and sings in a student-led acapella.
